Northstar TC650 convert problem?

Hello to All.

I have a Northstar TC650 2003. It has a Centurion CS3000xl Converter and a new Optima Blue Top deep cycle. 13.8v to battery when connected to 110v. When unplugged, Bat shows 12.7 v but the 12v system will not work. If a 12v light left on when unplugging from 110v it surges once then nothing. No lights no pump etc. but charge still showing on battery.

What are the steps for logical elimination of problems?

Thanks for your very helpful forum !!

The Centurion may not have a relay. You get 12v ok from converter, and your battery is charged, so your problem is between battery and DC dist panel.

The flare up and then dead symptom could mean some sort of bad connection. Look for the connections at the battery post, the battery catastrophic fuse, the battery disconnect switch, and the battery wire lug on the DC dist panel.

Wizard,

Thanks for your advice....battery is brand new. Will check fuses, not sure how to check relay switch...?

Sounds like either
A blown main fuse in the distribution panel
Or
A bad relay switch inside the converter
But
I would remove battery and load test it to be sure it really is good
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !
