I would suggest getting a smaller inverter for the VCR/TV?DVD player. Some where around 300 watts.
For the coffee pot we switched to a stove top unit for use while dry camping.
We do not use the micro wave much. In fact very seldom.
We use the genset for powering the microwave, electric coffee pot and toaster.
A different install would be to run separate circuit for you large inverter if you want to go that way. Install the inverter close to the batteries and run wire to your locations. Remember that the large inverter will have greater losses. Running entertainment system alone will have more losses then the system uses.
