Power equipment issue

Question

I have used my 20 kw https://www.dieselgeneratortech.com/cummins/cummins-24gf.htmlCummins generator for many years. It runs well all the time, recently i want to use it to generate electricity since it is back up power all the way.There are some problems occurring, over speed is obvious, how can I solve this problem?

On my friends Cummins he has a governor screw just below and to the left of the carb.  When his runs over speed it generates too many volts.

It looks like you have a stationary generator which may be significantly different than a RV application.
