Is anyone on here familiar with the power gear in frame 2.5” tube couch/dinette slide? Is there anything inside the outer slide tube that could be catching the inner tube? Slide won’t go in. Motor powers out, manually wrenching slide won’t work, slid gears off and tried come along. I’ve wiggled slide and it’s free, it’s like something came apart inside telescoping tubes? Knowledgeable help appreciated

You said "I slid gears off"

Is this a rack in pinion system (long toothed gear, and a round gear)

if so push it in end by end. just an inch or two at a time till you have it in like six or 8 inches. then heave ho.... NOthing catches or should catch that I know of.

If it's some other (inner/outer tube, as opposed to channel) I can not help.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

My power gear motor has a brake on it that you have to turn off before you can move the slide in by hand. You don't really turn the brake off but there is a lever on the motor you have to move so the brake is off before you can try and move it by hand.

There's lots of information about PowerGear's slide out systems here:

Hope you can find the information you need there. Lots of PDF files there.

question & Answer may not help you. BUT, Do you have more than one slideout? I ask this because I had a stuck slide in the out position. Removing one off one control and putting it onto another and it worked for me. Say slide one not working at the motor. But Slide 2, is working just fine. Remove the control of 2 and put onto 1. Then check and see if doing that works for you, as it may be just stuck as mine was.
