PowerGear hydraulic jacks, low voltage light?

When I retracted my jacks the other day, the "jacks down" light remained lit much longer than normal. I stepped outside and all jacks were up in retracted position. Back inside the MH the pad still indicated jacks down. Not knowing what else to do I just turned the jacks unit off. When I started to pull out, I released the parking brake and the pad lit up like a Christmas tree and the alarm started beeping. After several tries, the results were, always the same. Knowing the jacks were retracted I decided to pull out of my site and after a few minutes the alarm stopped and the pad lights went off, like all was well. Now, at home, when I turn the PowerGear pad on I'm again getting a low voltage light, so I'm afraid to lower the jacks.

Any ideas? I'm not much of a handyman when it comes to this sort of thing, but if anyone has any ideas that are simple checks, I'd sure appreciate it. I want to check the hydraulic fluid lever but I can't find the reservoir. I sent Fleetwood an email asking where the reservoir might be, but won't get a reply until later next week.

By the way, my MH is a 2014 Fleetwood Bounder Classic 30T.

Thanks for listening,
Bill
  • I've got an LCI automatic leveler on my 2014 Itasca Solie DP. Many times after retracting the levelers I get a Low Voltage message on my electronic display. Freightliner Custom Chassis told me that that means at some time during the operation of the levelers the battery power went below 11.9 amps. I only get the message once because the batteries get charged up. Suggest you make sure your house batteries are up to charge. If so, is there a loose wire to the leveler control. On my 2005 Terra the fluid reservoir was in the front engine compartment in front of the passenger. It had the Ford V-10 engine. Good Luck.
