REMCO pump power issues

I have a 2014 Thor ACE and am pulling a 2009 Ford Escape. After paying Camping World in Bartow, FL over $8000 for the pump, tow bars, base plate, installation, etc. I started having issues with the monitor in the cabin buzzing after a long day of driving. After driving thru the Bighorn Mountains, it wouldn't stop. I had pulled over a few times when I started smelling something electrical burning. After being parked in Cody, WY for a week, I got everything hooked up and the monitor wouldn't stop buzzing. I had no power to the REMCO pump in my car. After a few phone calls to GoodSam help line, (they were NO help) I found a mechanic locally and he said that when they wired in the pump, the installer changed the color of the wire that was "supposed" to go the battery, but instead he wired it to the fuse panel that controls the cabin 12V power. So now I have a blown celuloid in the engine compartment that over heats when I get to about 2 hours of driving. I can't get into a camping world in the Denver area till 9 Sept. Since it's an aftermarket install, warranty will not cover it. My question is....has anyone else had an issue with CW installs on REMCO systems?

This forum and many others are filled with many Camping World failures both sales and service. I don't know what the root problem is, but your story does not seem to be unique.
