Replacement porch light fixture?
Looking for website recommendations with a good selection of RV / 12v outdoor light fixtures.
The current oval shaped porch light on my RV was designed to hold a 25 watt automotive bulb, but didn't really account for the heat. When I removed the hotwire bulb and replaced it with an LED, the factory bulb had already started to melt the inside of the fixture.
The LED I more or less crammed in there has stopped working, I will do an autopsy when I get home. It was a 9 watt led cluster mounted to a big chunk of heatsink, with a constant current driver crammed into the fixture behind the heatsink.
I'd like to upgrade to something bigger, so I can either better install an LED upgrade, or get one with a suitable LED already installed (I doubt it.)
Looking for a wall-pack type fixture, square, with a 9-12 watt LED bulb already installed (1200 to 1500 lumens, warm white). Current fixture is 1600 lumens (at 9 watts.)
I'm not one to leave the porch light on, but when I turn it on, I want noon-day sun type illumination :)
