ernie1, I think you are wrong about the source of the OP criticism. Health condition has a lot to do with this. You were right in the last line, though - can't take any disagreement. Can't or won't read/understand the arguments even where there is no disagreement, - he just won't.
Forgot to include my personal experience with Sears. Only once bought an item from them - not "their" brand tools, just "from them". Washroom vanity cabinet, local pickup. Probably made in China, don't remember. Sub-par quality, but I only needed looks and low price, it was a temporary situation. Experience was exactly like that of the other poster - "Hey, is there anybody here"? Took me a while wandering around the store and locating my box.
When Sears name comes up in web search, I don't bother to click. Unlike with Home Depot, Amazon or Walmart where link would take you to the item you entered in search parameters (give or take whatever Google considers to be a "close match"), with Sears the link would take you to their homepage/landing page. Then you can browse Sears catalog, where the actual item may or may not be.
