1998 holiday rambler 5th wheel. 2 sides. The main slide will extend fine but it will not come back in, it has a dewald pump. Only way to get it to come back in is to swap the two hose, then it will come in like normal, but won’t extend. Motor/pump runs but sounds like it’s bypass on the direction that won’t come back in.
Done a bypass check on cylinders both are good with 0 bypass.
Inspected the manifold block, along with the 2 stem/directional valves and the pressure reliefs valves
Swapped stem valve with the one slide in the bed room with no change. Swapped coils for the valves, no change. As well as the pressure reliefs.
Need help. I’m out of options.

I see you eliminated the valves and colis
That leaves the controller and the switch

NOW: The switch.
Remove all 12 volts. you want NO POWER to the switch
(Alternative disconnect the swtich but it's often easdier to lift the negative battery lead)

Operate the switch both in and out 50-100 times just back and forth.

Restore power and see what happens.
Believe it or not this has worked for me on another system.

NOW: If it works you need to make a decision:
1: Buy lotto tickets cause when you hot, you hot.
2: Not buy lotto tickets cause you have used up your weekly allotment of LUCK.

Bad hose ?
On the retract side

You know it retracts when you swap hoses
And use the out hose to pull the slide in
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

I just pull the manifold apart, again to check it. No blockages.

I swapped valves, out from the bedroom side. It didn’t make a difference. Check and swapped both coils. No difference

The suspect list and it's short.

1: Dirty switch. YES the control switch may be dirty. If this is NOT the case the pump will run but no movement.
2: failed valve or valve magnet (Solenoid)

Now to test the valve you need a flat piece of metal NOT SHARP which a magnet attracts (Test) a kitchen knife may work well.
Hold it about 1/8 to 1/4 inch flat to the magnet while someone hits the switch, OBSERVE (A working magnet should attract but a well shielded one may not)

Observe if possible the valve if it's not enclosed.
From there on you got to figure out WHY it's not working.

Blockage in the manifold
You swapped coils and valve stems
Only thing left is a blockage
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !
