Hello
I have a 2016 newmar canyon star. My front large slide out won't come in unless I push from the outside while my wife holds the button. Once it moves about 6 inches it goes the rest of the way on it's own. Thanks for any help. Kenny

If the slide was working fine and the issue is something new, I'd say that your batteries are weak.
Do you still have the original batteries? At 5 - 6 years old they may be toast.

You may need to reprogram the slide controller or update it with a new model. I was having a similar issue with my kitchen slide in my 2016 BSS. Upgraded the controller to a newer revision and have not had any more issues. The programming process teaches the controller how much energy it needs to move the slide. (My understanding)

If it's run by hydraulics check fluid level and maybe some dry slide spray
