Slide seal detached

So here is my problem. 2018 Winnebago Vista class A motorhome with one slide out seal that has either detached or was never attached. The reason I say that is there is no sign of any tape or glue on either the rubber seal or metal piece that it should be attached to. I first noticed this when I saw a portion of the seal getting torn by the slide out track. I have identified the seal on etrailer and it appears it should attached with double back foam tape. Anyone had this problem and what did you use to fix? I have looked at some 3M VHB tapes but there are dozens of choices and you can’t buy small quantities. Should I just replace the seal entirely?

If it double faced seal tape. clean the area where it detached. Then go to auto parts and get 3M double faced tape with RED pull away cellophane and press on tight. The hotter the seal and tape get, the tighter it gets. This is the same seal that is used oh tailgate guards.
