Slide out cover detached roof trim
While doing my pretrip inspection today I noticed that the trim molding covering the gap between the metal roof and the sidewall was pulled out. On further inspection, it looks like wind pressure on the slide out cover has broken the rivets holding about 24" of the roof molding in place. It appears the this molding is attached to the roof panel because there is a gap where the roof panel is pulled away by the slide out cover attachment.
You may be able to see it in the photo below.
I leave for Utah next week so not likely to find a shop to look at it. I know I'll have to remove the slide out cover to access but I'm not sure about how to go about repairing this once I can get to it. My fear is that this somehow snaps over the metal strip attached to the wall which would make it difficult to repair.
Any recommendations will be appreciated.
