Slide stuck and electric panel burning

We have a 2016 Itasca 28' coach. First trip out noticed water behind driver seat, but had been raining when we pulled slide in, thought it was from that. Second trip out slide went out crooked called manufacturing , told us to toggle switch to get it in, we took to Camping World service to fix. Third trip out , water on floor again while driving. Get to destination same slide goes out only 6". Iowa is sending someone near to manually put slide in Tuesday. BUT last night ELECTRIC panel under bed smells like burning wire. All electric including air conditioner still running. We unplugged electric cord outside. We are upset. If we get slide in can we even use generator with bad electric panel. We are in Hot Louisianna having to get back home to even hotter Florida
  • The slide is DC battery power, was the smell when trying to retract the slide
Or was it when using the a/C ?
  • Dealer needs to get this one for proper repairs (this time) and have them check it all out ASAP , when you can get it to the dealer as it should be under warranty if it is a 2016 model .
  • New RV with 120v panel overheated? Yes I agree unplug and remove the covers to see the wires. Tighten all connections and look for burnt wires touching. You can tighten and separate to get you home but all overheated wire or equipment needs replaced asap. Probably under warranty still so head to your dealer.
  • Better have mobile tech check your panel. Would not run Gen until panel examined and repaired. Maybe just loose connections.
