  • Hi Mex,

It is an auction and those are the starting bids?

Yikes, I'm wrong--those are "buy it now" prices.

    They are flexible panels......
  • Scroll down and CAREFULLY read the description and specs..... especially the SHORT CIRCUIT CURRENT ratings. These panels are being terribly mis-labeled.... mostly only 12V load voltage at 1.5 to 2 Amps.
  • Well then, this can be labelled a SCAM ALERT. My Mexican ISP is marginal and my eyesight is poor without 4 diopter reading glasses.

EBay sure has poor oversight. Remember that Chinese 2,000 watt inverter with the mural on it? Hawked as being superior? Because it had a "heavy transformer" ? BFL would remember it as being "Thunder Proof"?

I received a counterfeit DeWalt ¼" corded drill a couple of years ago. I made some telephone calls and dropped it off at the Federal Courthouse in San Diego a few years ago. Beware of eBay.
  • Watch out for cheap Chinese junk, imitations and used equipment.
If the price is too good to be true, beware.
100 watts of quality solar panel is going to cost around $100.
If you buy a quality MTTP controller you will need fewer panels.

It is cheaper to add another 12 volt panel than to get a quality MPPT controller.

There are good panels for well under $1 per watt now. They are generally the cheapest part of the system.

The time to consider MPPT is at 600 to 800 watts or more.
