Sportsman 2200 generator

Anyone have any info on the newer Sportsman GEN2200DFI generator
which ia a dual-fuel (gas, propane) unit?
Sounds good/flexible on paper and have seen some good reviews, but .....

Thanks
  • I'll be curious about this. A friend of mine just bought a Sportsman dual fuel 4000(?) or something like that to take on our upcoming trip to Yellowstone. I'm interested to see how it performs compared to our Honda eu3000is on the trip.

Have you used it above 3000 ft? In communique with company, they mentioned a high-altitude kit is available ...

    Thanks.

  • Yup - that includes me. Thought that was only with their older unit, but, you are absolutely right. Thanks.
  • Had to look it up and found this: "High altitude use: This generator is not recommended for high altitude use above 3,000 ft." That might be a problem for some.
