And people die from lung cancer who don't smoke. Most skin cancers are caused by damage we sustained as children. Covering them with quality covers is best. I also use a uv protectant. It's a struggle here in the desert with the low humidity & high temps doing damage if covered or not. We just do the best we can here.

Unless something has changed, there is still no data available that shows any advantage to covering the tires with those ADCO tire covers that are so popular.

And before someone says it, common sense told me that wearing a hat all my adult life would protect my head from the effects of sun exposure. To date, I have undergone a half dozen procedures to remove skin cancers from my pate.

FWIW, I use both. 303 and covers when not camping.

I'm just saying that since I saw such good results with that on my bike I tend to think a sunscreen for tires could be very effective. The stuff at Camping World is called "Sunblock"...reviews are pretty good. I'm heading there now. I'll ask about 303.

I use cardboard shields, less expensive. In the Spring, after they have wrinkled and warped, they go into the recycling bin, no need for storage.

303 uv protectant!!!!

Tire covers is the way to go, and the only product that will touch my tires is protectant 303.
Never use a petroleum based product.
