Surge protectors
If you had to choose between a Progressive Industries EMS-PT50X and a Southwire Surge Guard 34950 which would you buy? I'm on a seasonal sight so I'm plugged into campground shore power 24/7.

50A upgrade is expensive and campers pay for it in increased fees. One CG I was in last Dec started charging $0.25/KW - Ouch. What annoyed me was the lack of any information on this charge until I was hooked up.
Personally I'd rather just have a daily rate and be done with it.

Last I checked (And this MAY have changed) the PI unit had a limited lifetime warranty . . .
That changed when Southwire bought Surge Guard a couple years ago. Now both Southwire and Progressive have limited lifetime warranties.
Progressive was also bought by another company. After the buy outs, Progressive service and warranty went down and Southwire's went up.
I'd go with Southwire now.

Have you considered an autoformer with surge protection?
