This thread is a perfect example why the second poster should quote the original post.
Apparently the OP is upset that they cannot control the discussion so they have packed up and left.

Came late and missed a good one....

Obviously you want to cut into the ceiling no matter what! Many of us are/were trying to subtly (and not so subtly) tell you that is not necessary... Something else is going on there.
No good deed ever goes unpunished.

- OzlanderExplorerEven if the black and white wires are crossed, it's 120 volts ac and no damage will happen.

Great, maybe now the discussion can be about what it was to be about.
You sir are very insulting and now ON YOUR OWN and I see the weather forecast is in the 90's this week in Florida.
Disregard any advice that I and others have given before we were through with our "cocktails" and take a chainsaw to your RV ceiling. You have to be correct and the rest of us "morons" are wrong so go cut the _________ ceiling!!!! Please video yourself doing it so we can watch it on Youtube while we drink to much.
PS: I'll leave my responses for others to see so that other people can maybe learn something about A/C from my posts. - Joe417ExplorerI think I would call Tiffin and see if they could give you the wire path info. They may have an easy way to replace the wire or at least a way with a minimum of pain.
Many times the wires are install in slots routed at right angles in the insulation.
That could be a bear to work with if you try to pull the wire through.
May be easier to find a good path for the wire and add some decorative snap conduit to get it across the ceiling.
Good luck. - FreightguyExplorer*

Moved to Tech Issues forum from DIY.
It is wrong to move this to the Tech forum. This thread is about DIY ceiling work. A small group of morons got to typing a bunch after their evening cocktails and cant seem to see the point of the original post.
