???two yamaha EF2000iS untis together...Good???

Thinking about getting two Yamaha EF2000iS units for TT. I have two AC units ect. plus the other normal equip. Wondering if two units tied together will be ample for my Jayco White Hawk 29REKS. I like the easy to handle weight of each unit and the reviews seem great.

What is needed to hook them up to my 50Amp plug? Pics would help if possible.

Thanx

I know it's more of a hassle but I put my 6500 Honda in a enclosed trailer behind my 5er and bring along ALL the power I need.

So you're towing two things ... the 5'er itself and a trailer behind the 5'er?

If so, wow, you have a lot of courage and couldn't go to a lot of the dry camping spots we go to. :)

    It's only a 4'X 6' trailer.

With a double wheeled tongue jack I can usually push it around myself. I have a Voyager camera on the back of the 5er to keep an eye on it. I can always hook onto the truck and back it in after 5er is set up but haven't had to do that so far.

I suspect all you will get from the EF2000is is 13.3AMPs just like the Honda EU2000is.

Two of these connected together will only give you 120VAC@26.6 AMPS.

The MAX you can pull from the two 120VAC RECEPTACLES on the front panel is 20AMPs and this has been dropped down to 13.3AMPS I suspect..

Everything you read abut the Yamaha Generator says it is very close to the Honda EU2000is model in performance.

This is what I have. I know on my 5er, it is adequate to run my converter, AC and electric hot water heater.

I also use it on my houseboat, where it will run the converter and a residential AC unit.
  • The two yamies are nice and will power (1) A/C unit
Connect a 50~30 adapter to the Yankee yamie sync harness
You are not going to power two a/C units with less than 5 kw
  • I have a pair of 2000 Honda's and they would not start my Son's 15,000 btu Dometic AC. We changed the start capacitor to a
Supco SPP6. That cured the problem

Hi, I have two yamaha ef2000's generators and I love them. I connect them together using the Yamaha sidewinder cable 30amp plug. They power my single AC unit on my 27ft TT. Honestly, I am not sure if they could power both AC's and I haven't seen a Yamaha Parallel cable that is 50amp. But what I can tell you is that they are totally awesome, quiet, and quite fuel efficient. I highly recommend them!

Well I suppose that I could just run one AC most of the time...and the 30amp would work. In the summer, I will most likely be hooked up at a park with 50amp. I was just wanting the ability to camp on the beach itself...thanx
