- Tom_M1ExplorerI have valve extensions on my coach and have had no problems in 6 years and 60,000 miles. BUT, it is very important that you have metal valve stems. Rubber ones will flex and crack with the extensions added.
- midnightsadieExplorer III had trouble withe stainless extender,s , but a guy who works at a tire shop said if there put on right they work just fine. SO I let him redo the mess some else did, 9months and my tires still hold 75# all six have worked good.
- Dennis12ExplorerI agree with IAMICHABOD. The extenders are nothing but trouble. If your wheels are mounted properly you should only need a good straight pressure gauge with a angle on the back side for pulling back to check pressures inside and out. Take your unit to a good tire shop and let them explain it to you. If you can stay away from the extensions you will be better off.
- IAMICHABODExplorer IIWhat is needed is a extended valve stem that will let you quickly check your tire pressure. Extenders have a very bad habit of leaking.
The best on the market, that are the original, are Tire Man.
Chuck is the original designer of these an he has been around for years. If you have any questions just give him a call, he is always happy to help.
The kit looks like This it is for all 6 wheels, they also come with flow-thru valve caps so you don't even need to take then off to check the pressure.
Here is a list of all the products he sells.
