Victron MPPT 150/100 output current

The Victron app indicates a max voltage in the low 90s. Running 4s, 2p on the panels.
I would expect during bulk charge that all available controller current would go to the load with any remaining current going to batteries. Then when the A/C starts, the batteries would supply any extra needed current. In other words, the controller is already putting out max current when the A/C starts.
Doesn't make sense to me. As mentioned above, a spike must occur and the controller tries to supply the spike instead of the batteries.
An automotive style 120 amp breaker is on the output of my controller. It looks like I might need something that can handle a spike.

My WAG is that if your not getting a controller error code I’d then focus on either the breaker or possibly a temperature related intermittent short circuit in one of the panels rather than a faulty controller…

FWIW, Victron trains and primarily relies upon it’s vendors to provide customer technical advice - this is why when purchasing Victron it’s best to choose a reputable and customer oriented vendor…

You need to VERY SURE your panel Voc is under 150V at the lowest possible temperature.

Your A/C may indeed draw much more that 120A for short duration on startup. You're setup for a very high amp draw on 12V. It's also possible that your batteries or wiring are inadequate for the A/C.

It can not limit input voltage, that's established by the panels, the sun, and the temperature. If you have you're strings configured for too high a voltage you will damage the controller.
None of that matters to yohr breaker problem. I'd guess either a bad breaker or a high current spike so quick it's not being measured.
