12 volt inverter 300watt reconmendation

X2, I just installed the same inverter and it works great. Fan is very quiet too. Samlex makes the cheaper SSW series but reviews note the loud fan. If you go Samlex, go with the PST series, about $40 more but a much heavier duty unit. Morningstar is great (no fan) but about 80-100 bucks more. The Amazon link sandia man posted is a little cheaper then what I paid. I got mine from Bestconverter.com because of the lifetime support. Same price as Amazon but $10.00 shipping.

I bought one of these 300W PSW inverters from this seller off ebay for under $60 including shipping. It works great; however, the cooling fan is a little loud.

I later bought a 1000W model of the same brand from the same seller and was not as lucky. While the price was very low, the power is not as "pure" as advertised and it still made my TV hum. The small one works great though.

Morningstar is probably the best but a little too pricy for me. I've read good stuff about the Samlex PST seris PSW inverters. Used it for the first time over the weekend and it works great.

Morningstar makes a great one. It will be going in our TT in the few days.

Go Power has been flawless for me. Lowest idle draw and has provision for a remote power switch.

If you want the best--go for the Morningstar. It does not even have a fan.

I got the ProMariner Pro TruSine 400 Power Inverter w/ Automatic Crossover and GFCI Protected Outlets from anchor express. Very pleased. this inverter has a few advantages. It has 4 plug in outputs, 2 of which are ground fault and it is pass through. That means it will auto switch over when the power is disconnected. It also has a remote reset & on/off switch. I mounted it behind my converter and ran the output of the breaker that feeds the TV into it. It also feeds everything else on that circuit which is nice. For, the convenience of having it auto switch to inverter when not on shore power was a huge plus. It enables me to mount it out of sight and where you cannot hear the fan (not that you can anyway).

Here's another China special ... Rosewill is a decent brand, I don't own any of their inverters, but other Rosewill products I do own work without issue and appear well made.

We have a Wagan Elite 400W PSW inverter I got off Amazon. Works really well powering a 32" tv and a receiver. It has a fan that runs once in a while but we don't notice it at all. It is always plugged in and running and has been for about 3 months. Still going strong with no problems. Doesn't alarm until 12V. Will also alarm if one tries to pull too many watts for the box, the wire, or the jack (we have two jacks - one allows about 80W the other about 300W).
