12V fuse in junction box on trailer frame

I recently upgraded to 6V GC2 batteries and added a Charge Wizard to the existing converter/charger. Everything tested good prior to and during a 4 day dry camp. Ran the generator a bit and it showed the batteries charging. Got home, plugged the trailer in and the batteries were not taking a charge. Checked the voltage on either side of the fuse or breaker in the junction box on the frame near the tongue and found the difference.

What type of fuse/breaker is this and value? Any speculation as to why it blew?
Thanks.

OP:
Please post the voltage that you got on each side of the circuit breaker!
One side would be battery voltage and the other would be converter voltage.
Some of the 12 volt breakers are NOT auto resetting!
Circuit breaker values could be enteched into it orprinted.
If you cannot see value, get same value as the converter output if the wire can carry that amperage!

Don't understand this statement. It should be a resetable inline fuse, It should have has a reset button on it.

Ok, now that I've done some more reading, and as time2roll mentioned, it's probably a resettable circuit breaker. I will check to see if there is a reset button. I'm just concerned as to why it tripped.

If it's the normal automotive one, they are supposed to self-reset. If it isn't, go to an auto parts store and buy a new one. Make sure to get the same amperage.

I meant amperage output in my previous post.
According to model of converter, it is 40 amp. Fuse or circuit breaker should be a 40 amp.
No, in boost mode the voltage goes up which will reduce amperage.

The maintenance output is ~13.6V, the wires are stock, I think 6ga. Do you think when the charge wizard went into boost mode it blew? The stock PD9140 is a single stage.

Probably another self resetting circuit breaker has failed. Would help to know the amp rating, wire size, and the converter amp rating.

Unless there is a branch connection I would just remove the breaker and bond the wires together. Install an appropriate fuse or breaker at the battery for easier access. I would not replace any self resetting breaker with same.

What is the output of your converter? What size wire from converter to batterires?
As a norm, the fuse/circuit breaker can be the same size as the converter output IF the wire is large enough to handle the amperage.
Loose connection would be a possibility. Make sure the fuse holder has not rusted!
