12V Question

I have a 2014 Keystone Sprinter 266RBS, when I turn on my battery all of my lights work inside and out, but none of my outlets have power. Is this normal or I'm I missing a switch or fuse somewhere? Thanks for any ideas or direction.

Mike
  • Thank you everyone for your input. I knew I get the answers here.
  • Your 120vac outlets won't work on battery power. To get 120vac power to you 120vac outlets, you need to plug in to shore power.

Here is a typical 30A TRAILER WIRING CONFIGURATION...

If you want to run OUTLETS and other 120VAC APPLIANCES when not connected to Shore Power or Generator then you need to have a POWER INVERTER installed.

These will pull a large amount of BATTERY CURRENT when being used... A 1000WATTs POwer Converter will want to see at least four batteries in your battery bank...

  • Your battery won't power your outlets; or your television, microwave or air conditioner.
Your battery powers your 12v appliances. You have to be plugged in to power the 120v appliances.
Now if you are plugged in and the 120v plugs don't work, then you have a trpped circuit breaker or a tripped GFI.
