Just thinking here. Might have a budget of $18k to buy a new TT. Wondering what your picks would be? Not saying that the MSRP has to be under the $18k, but something close that could be easily negotiated down to that price with a handful of cash.Then throw in wants. What would you choose if you wanted the following.No slide.Queen bed with solid door(s).No bunks.

Not aure about the 18K budget, but I would certainally look at an Arctic Fox.

18K would buy a real nice used rig. I know you said new, but there are a lot of TTs out there that were used for a couple camping trips, and thats all, still good as new. TTs take a real big depreciation hit the first couple years, I can tell you that from experience.

hard to suggest something without knowing how you plan on using it.Do you need a four season trailer?Do you dry camp and need big tanks?What do you plan on towing it with?What do you mean by solid doors? Bath and bedroom or cabinets.We don't winter camp and would buy the biggest ultralight our trucks could handle.

It might take some looking (and you may have to travel to pick it up), but you might find an Outback Loft in that range.

In 2011, I bought a brand new Nomad 22.7 ft made by Skyline for $18,000. The quality is exceptional. It's lightweight without a slideout. For the two of us it's just right. Biggest problem: towing with my F150, I have to keep reminding myself that there's a trailer back there. The difference in MPG with the trailer is about 4.

I second the second Arctic Fox. I've never looked back, except once when I left the slider out and the blue lights........ The world already ended, too late.
I knew #40fan was in the same campground as us. wears the same clothes alll the time. LOL

Buy when you find the deal that suits you! Our climate here is not so bad so not a real "season" for us. I am not so sure I could buy something and have to wait months to use it!:)

Look for that exact model used , 2 to 3 years old and make offers ,or call every artic fox dealer in the country and get a bid . When you get the right price and a reasonable drive , buy and camp on the way home . Buy now , the world is coming to an end later this year .

Uh-oh. DW and I took the week off and she wanted to go camper "looking". Stepped into an Artic Fox 22GQ and she fell in love. It didn't have the divided bedroom with doors that I was looking for and the price is higher than what I like, but I do admit it is nice. As durable as these seem to be after a couple days of research, it sounds like it will be a good investment in the long run.

Now the question is, do we wait until the end of the camping season and hope to get a good deal? Or, pick it up sooner than later and get some use out of it this summer?

It will just be the DW and I, so space isn't really needed. Our longest trips will be when we are hunting and storage isn't even an issue because we essentially wear the same thing every day. I don't see the perpendicular couch being a problem with the two of us either.

I think I am going to go a different route though. Going to wait until the end of the summer and hope to catch a good deal on a new unit. Take the money we have now and pay off the TV and save that money. If we have to finance the new TT when time comes, it would be fine with me.
