2012 RAM 2500 Cummins 4WD issue

I'm having issues with the 4WD engagement on my 2012 RAM 2500 Cummins. Twice now, in damp weather, I get a service 4WD light and the 4WD won't engage. It clears after several hours of driving. The first time, the dealer replaced the engagement drive, because the sensor in not available seprately. This time, I went straight to the dealer and they verified the light but couldn't get me in for service until next week. Since the trouble clears, that means that they are just shotgunning the problem depending on the computer code for trroubleshooting. I don't have a lot of faith in that methodology. Anyone else have a simular problem?
  • You might ask the dealer to call for engineering support if they can't come up with a ture diagnosis.

    Don
  • Mine came on once but after a 38km drive and a re-start it was out and hasn't returned. The conditions at the time was colder but not really damp.
  • You might also post the question on theTDR. There are some really good dealer techs there and your probably not the only one to have the problem.
