2013 RAM 3500 Diesel 4x4 Dually and KYB Shocks Update
This is a FYI for 2013 RAM 3500 4x4 diesel dually owners.
I've wanted a set of KYB's since the day I purchased the truck. In my experience all OEM shocks need to be change out in about one year.
I finally got someone at KYB to go into some detail as to why my shock application is still not available.
I will define one acronym for you ahead of time that explains everything...ROI, return on investment... Until their are enough of this particular vehicle in distribution, I will have to wait.
FROM KYB:
We only have so many engineering hours available in our budget and must dedicate our resources where the maximum ROI is available. In this case there were five different front shocks used on the 2013 3500 4X4 with diesel engine. As of August 2014 there were only 12,907 registrations combining Chassis cab & Non-Chassis cab models. This registration figure is for the USA & CN combined. We recently purchased January 1, 2015 registration data and the total is now 17,971.
We will introduce parts for this vehicle, but I’m unable to give a date at this time.
I hope this helps clarify the delayed release of this application.

I currently have Bilsteins on the truck, they provide a great ride when the camper is off the truck, but are much too soft when it is on. I've heard the KYB's are stiffer.
Rancho 9000's are also not available for this truck only their 7000 series shocks.
