Does anyone have the "real"weight of their truck after adding options? We would like to hear from someone who does not have a big tool box or extra fuel tank installed. We figure we will need to add 400 for us & 200 for the hitch to the figure you provide. We are trying to determine how much rear axle weight we will really have left for 5th wheel loaded hitch weight. They are labeled for about 4200 RAWR. Also, do you have the GCWR? Thanks!

Typo! I meant about 4200 for CC left for the rear axle to accomodate passengers, fuel, & hitch weight. I am trying to find out how much a truck weighs after all of the options most of us want on our truck to see how much they limit the available hitch weight. The weight on the Chevy site just gives the weights for a bare-bones truck, no running boards, nav system, mud flaps etc. Thanks!

It will give you the carry capacity of your truck. It is not specific to either axle. You will have to have your truck weighed per axle to determine what you can load onto your rear axle.

While my truck may have 4,000 pounds of payload, I wouldn't get a f'ver that eats up 3,000 pounds. adding hitch and other stuff you're just too close to the line for comfort. buying new, buy a dually for that much weight.

We are looking at purchasing a SRW 3500 2015 3500HD Silverado to pull a large 5th wheel and are trying to get some idea from folks that "ahve been there, done that" with a similar truck. It is hard to get an idea of the actual loaded weight before purchase and loading everything in, but I am trying to get a sense of what is realistic. The RV we are considering has a dry hitch of about 2300 lbs. Theoroetically, the truck has around 4100 lbs to stay within the RAWR. I figure that the truck really weighs at least 500 lbs more than they say on the Chevy site, but want to confirm to the best of our ability before we sign on the dotted line... Thanks!

It seems the Ford trucks in HD 2500 and 3500 are around 400-700 heavier than the others at curb weight.
Mine is 8100-8200 empty with no one it it! Lariat f 350 SRW 11500 gvwr and 6.75 box. The options sure add weight! Mine has everything other than Nav as this was almost 3 grand more. Added mudflaps, retrax, and linex. My hitch is every bit 200 pounds.

The Duramax weighs 743# more.

To see this, google GM order guide, click first link (gmfleetorderguide), select year > light truck > click Truck (Bowtie) > click "Print Book" > select Silverado 3500HD (in the popup window) > select "print model" > click print (it goes to the display, not a printer) > look on page 68 or so.

Similar to Dr. Blake, we have a 2013 SRW Silverado 3500CC diesel (all the options including sun roof and linex - full tank of fuel also). Truck weight is 8200lb including 500lbs of myself, DW, two Portuguese water dogs and whatever else we had in the cab when camping. 11,500 capacity so we should have 3000lb+ available for pin and hitch when we swap out the TT for a 5er some day.

It is a single rear wheel. Love the truck and cant wait for summer to come.

My 2013 GMC 3500HD D/A Denali super cab scales in at 7,900 pounds and GVWR is 11,500 pounds. I have a sunroof (I think it is an additional option), spray on bed liner and my butt was in the seat (~200 pounds).
