Also, watch the Max Tow options on the truck. Ford is calling the towing option Max Tow now, and it really isn't the best towing package available, as the cargo rating is less than 1700 pounds. The big towing package will be over 2200 pounds, and it will come with 7 lug wheels and the nice tow mirrors, along with the equipment underneath you need to get that big rating.
Mine is a 2013, but my Max Tow has a 1794 lb. payload and the tow mirrors. The 7 lug wheels and 2,200+ payload comes with the Heavy Duty Payload package.

Hey 2112 how did it struggle? Will it damage the truck? Can it cause dangers to itself or other drivers? Thanks

If you decide to go to something larger in a TT you will have to also change PUs. Why not buy a larger PU now and you can tow anything later.

I'm looking to buy a new f 150 v6. Towing max is 6300 with gcwr 11700. Payload capacity is 1620. The TT that I'm interested is 4750 and will load it with gear n without any water. I'm looking at 5300-5500 of weight. Is this to much for the truck please advice
Thanks
