OK now I am on a roll. Thought I would show the back porch that my husband constructed a few years ago. It started as a cargo holder that fits in the Reese hitch, he then built up the frame to the second level. There is a step on the curb side to get on, there is a portable step in the cubby near the license plate that we can put under the camper door when we are stopped. That way we can still access the storage under that door (used to be for the steps that we now don't need). The whole thing is stabilized with chains & turnbuckles on both sides that hook onto the tailgate connectors. Then he stuck a bike rack on the back. Works great. Our leveling boards are 3/4" plywood, about 8" x 20-24", since this is 8' camper, we can slide them in on edge on the truck bed beside the camper, then lay them flat and they stay in because of the L shape where the box comes around the back.
