I just let go of my trusty 2001 Ford DRW PSD with only 82k on it and now have a 2015 F450 PSD.

We have a 2015 and are extremely happy with it.
The power and the tow haul mode and exhaust brake all combine to make a really great tow vehicle.
It is also a very nice truck to drive with out a load. We call it our 8500 lb luxury hot rod.
We didn't want to part with our 2000 truck with 130K on it so we kept it and we used it today to haul the horses on a short trip.
I still enjoy shifting the 7.3 now and then.

I would like to get my '02 7.3 up to a half million miles. Currently sitting at 240000. Although, I envy the new quiet diesels.

Thanks everyone. I can't believe how quiet it is. And so quiet inside too. Can hardly wait to get the camper on it. We are selling the 2000, but keeping the 88 F250 with almost 300,000 on it now--good for going to the auctions I guess. The 2000 made it to Alaska twice, and we plan to go again next year. Just a tiny problem with 2000 F350 last year near Vail, CO, when the electronic part that delivers fuel decided to quit working, just like that. Had to be pulled on a chain for 10 miles to Gypsum. Got fixed by the greatest repair shop, Werks Auto. Had to stay overnight, camped in their lot, got THE best treatment, and here we are from Michigan, no less. We paid about what our own mechanic would have charged, in fact he thought we got it done cheaper than he could. Always an adventure.

Truck and camper worked very well on first trip last weekend. Except, that we decided to weigh it and we are 400 over on the back axle, and 900 pounds over on GVW! However, truck handles just fine, tires stay cool, husband is very happy with it. Got about 14.5 mpg in our 500 mile trip. Sold our 2000 F350 to a family friend. He didn't even want to test drive it, he just WANTED it. So it went to a good home.

Not sure about the new models, but on my 2013 F350 diesel the owners manual recommended 5w-40 synthetic oil if the truck was in severe duty...defined as towing. My local small town dealer didn't have a clue and was going to put 10-30 conventional oil in mine. They didn't have any 5w-40 syn in stock. The Motorcraft synthetic that I found at auto parts store was expensive. I used Shell Rotella T6 5w-40 synthetic with satisfactory results.
If you're in Michigan you may want that 5w-40 viscosity for winter time anyway.
