2020 PSD owner compares it to his 2019 PSD towing 18K

This just came across my recommended videos on YouTube after watching Fish's 2020 7.3L video. He gives a pretty honest (and long) comparison for this who have a 2017-2019 and are thinking about switching. He also has a Banks iDash so you can see some of the temps although I believe the pyro-meter for the EGT's on the PSD is after turbo just like the CTD is which is about 300-400F cooler than pre-turbo numbers where most aftermarket pyro's are.

    What was his speed compared to the Cummins on the long grade? I still wonder about trans temps, mine would be running 167 at 34k combined same day.

    Does that trailer really weigh 10k? Truck should be around 8k. 18k combined???

    Sounds like it pulls good even at lower rpm's. I guess people need to decide how important it is to slow the load.

    FISH what say you about the mpg???

    I'm not sure why there is the insistence that running a low tranny temp is a significant advantage.

    If you are running within the normal operating range that is all that matters.

    Normal operating temps on most of the cars I rent seem to be 200* or more.

    It has already been discussed. The trans is designed to operate at a higher temp.

    There is a reason when asked about the AISIN the West Coast Head Warranty Rep from Chrysler said “They don’t break”. Low fluid temps help? I think they do help.

    Lol. Another authoritative source. Someone who works for the company touting the abilities of the product they represent. Well done.

    I’d be willing to bet if you spoke with someone from Ford/GM/BMW or any other manufacturer they would say the same.

    some times the design doesn't make it the best or why all the different ideas from the rv .net experts.
