Interesting. I saw an Anderson advertisement for the support brackets recommended for our specific trucks, but with the factory puck system, are they needed?
I don’t know for sure. I never noticed that they were specifically for the puck trucks or for all trucks. I do know the brackets are to be positioned to support the corners of the hitch at the rear of the truck. If you have extra bracing near the rear of the truck where the rear of the hitch would be, these brackets wouldn’t do much good. My truck did not have the factory fifth wheel.
Just Googled them. Looks like a frame bracket, so not for me with the puck system. Makes sense to me though that corner supports are not a bad idea.
