Anyone own an Arctic Fox 865 here?

If so, tell me what you like or don't like about it with regard to usability when you've taken it on trips.

I sometimes get the temptation to sell my AF811 and move to an 865, so I'm curious to hear about first hand experiences from 865 owners.

You can get some idea of the weight of the camper from Truck Camper Magazines Buyers Guide:

(Note that the link goes to the Wayback Machine so it is slow.

We have a 2013 AF 865.

Have you weighted your truck and camper. What is the wet weight of your camper loaded and ready yot travel?

Thank you

We have a 2013 AF 865. We traveled from Maine to Florida to California and back home last winter, we were out for over 3 months. There were two of us and a cat. We picked this TC because it was the closest layout and options to our old Okanagan. It's a wonderful camper and very usable. There is a lot of storage cubbies in this camper, but none of them are huge, for instance we can't carry a 5 gallon water jug. There's not much storage under the sink because they put the hot water tank there, so our pots are now stored over head. The clothes closets in the "bedroom" were all set up for hanging clothes, so we put in shelves. There's plenty of room for food, etc. we did replace both the mattress and the dinette cushions, they were chintzy. The wet bath is very comfortable to use. The holding tanks are a quite large for a TC.

We didn't want a slide, so this was perfect. We have the old style front, really like the new rounded front on the new models.

Glad to answer any other questions,

Must not be too many 865 owners out there. I do like that TC. Sometimes not having to put out a slide would be nice. I love the rear kitchen and its got nice overall storage inside. I like the rear kitchen set up in both the AF865 and the 992.
