Arctic Fox 992

I have a 2013 Arctic Fox 992 and would like to add a solar battery charger. They are supposed to be pre-wired for this. Can anyone tell me where the connection for the solar panel is located?
  • If you don't hear back from someone, try calling Northwood at 541-962-6274. On my travel trailer the wires both from the roof and from the battery area were pulled to the same cabinet that had the Jensen stereo. But I don't know about their truck campers.

    Good luck!
  • Both of mine had a sticker on a cabinet. But a phone-call (with model year) would certainly work.
  • The controller wiring should be in the vicinity of the thermostat/tank monitor gauges, etc. On my 1140 all the panels are together. If you are talking about where the panels plug into there will be a plug with removable cap up on the roof and should be visible.
  • Just played hide and seek with the solar pre-wiring in my 990... First, look for a bundle under the sink against the cab-over wall. If not there, remove the tank level check panel; mine were there. I had to call Northwood...

Should be two sets, one from the roof and one from the battery box, all bundled together. Both should be labeled and taped together in pos/neg pairs.

Up top, look for the SAE two-prong plug. It will be somewhat buried in DiCor.

Good luck; let us know how it goes
