Don't know about a Terrain, but I tow a 4,000# 20' Kodiak with a 2012 Buick Enclave and it does well. I usually drive 60 -62, but it has the power to pull faster if you wanted too. It is rated at 4,500#, but the similar Acadia/Traverse are rated at 5,200#. Really comfortable tow vehicles if you don't want/need to get into the pick-up class.
