I always thought it was asking a lot of any speaker to hold up to the RV environment. I would replace them with the cheapest I could find.
However, if sound quality was important then I would go with what sounds best to me and hope for the best.
I rarely use mine camping but enjoy them when working on the TT. The DW has used them when working in the flower bed near the home parking spot.
I don't think its asking much.
I have four 6.5" speakers, one 10" subwoofer, a 400.4 amplifier, and bluetooth controller, in my Polaris RZR off road buggy. The system sees dust, dirt, mud, snow, rain, temps from 0*F-100*F, and a gas powered pressure washer. It not only sounds fantastic in an open air environment, it is durable as well.
Speakers in a RV are nothing. All quality speakers are poly cone and poly is waterproof to begin with. Quality speakers are all waterproof. Marine speakers are just a way to charge more for 1" of wire that doesn't corrode in saltwater environments. - colliehaulerExplorer III

Polk makes one of the best speakers for the money. JL makes some nice marine speakers as well.
I replaced my outdoor speakers 4 years ago with these from Amazon. They sound good and have held up well. - colliehaulerExplorer IIIAny marine speakers will be an upgrade. The problem is most rv walls are only 2" thick and will not accommodate marine speakers. The second problem is the lack of power from the stereo to drive a higher quality speaker.
- ZeeLet50ExplorerTo help in sound and better bass, look into speaker cups. They are installed in the hole before the speaker and give the presence of the speaker being in a box. They are made of different materials but i have mostly used them in car doors so they are made to be waterproof material and take into consideration tight mounting spaces. Crutchfield has them less than $10 called boom mat
- HuntindogExplorerI have reluctantly ordered another set of the same Jensens I have. I am really limited by the size constraints of my TT. Only 1.5" depth available, and the cutout is 4.5". And due to where they are, I really can't enlarge the openings.
I will make some covers for them while it is in storage, and just replace them often... They are cheap enough. - ReferDogExplorerIf you can't do it yourself, try some of the car radios/marine installers, in WA we us CARTOYS, not cheap but it gets done.

The blue tooth speakers are great! Also if you put them in a empty five gallon plastic bucket it gives them some bass! I would like to find ones that have dancing LED lights also!!
To try to be helpful here even though we are nature sound lovers - we've got this bluetooth speaker and it is awesome:

I know Bluetooth is convenient and all but I think the OP is about improving his sound, not just making it more convenient.
But hey, if it works for YOU, carry on. - pasusanExplorer
