- TxGearheadExplorer IIWhere did you go to find your Bigfoot?
I had to Google map search for Bigfoot, TX. Heck, I've driven past it a bunch. - SangoExplorerBy Devine Tx. They were showing on the news last week unusually names of towns in Texas. Its just south of us so took a short day trip yesterday.
- TxGearheadExplorer III used to burn that road up...back and forth to Laredo weekly. Working near Catarina. Interesting country.
Dang man I wish mine was the 10.4 with a dry bath. - SangoExplorerTexasGearhead "Where did you go to find your Bigfoot?

You have to be looking for it. We didn't see the tower until we turned around to head back out. There's a tiny post office and a Bigfoot Wallace museum which is only open second Saturday of every month. When I was looking up Bigfoot is when I saw the tower picture and we had to drive by. - SangoExplorerTexasGearhead.. we love our Bigfoot. Traded our 2014 Arctic Fox 1150 for it. Started having delame issues with it even after getting it fixed. Do not miss the slide out at all.
- TxGearheadExplorer III was thinking it may have been named after Bigfoot Wallace. I was just reading about his Indian war adventures. He did a lot of fighting right around there.
Did you have any clearance issues with your hold downs clearing the Ram fenders?
Also I have to put a 2x8 in front of the camper so my truck back doors can open. - SangoExplorerWe already had a mat but did add a 3/4" horse stall mat. We bought two and cut them out to fit the full bed of the truck. They only come in a 4x6 size that we could find. Then we laid the truck mat on top to help keep the two pieces from sliding apart if the camper moved any. My DH built a guide for bed also to keep camper from shifting side to side or even forward. When we bought the camper in Portland Oregon we brought it back on our old 2007 Dodge and it shifted where the tiedowns rubbed on the fender. We also bought the TorkLift anchor relocation kit.
- SangoExplorerWe can open the driver side rear door but not passenger side. Go figure :h May have to add to the front guide.
- TxGearheadExplorer III'm using 5/8" plywood cut in 4 pieces to completely cover the truck bed. Then a truck bed mat over that. Been working OK so far.
After talking to Bigfoot about the Fastgun clearance issue they said it is OK to use heavy duty machinery eye bolts to move the camper attachment points farther out. Also Torklift suggested drilling another hole in their extensions to move them out an inch. My last trip I used both. Next time maybe just one or the other and see if it works OK. - SangoExplorerI had seen where the large eyebolts were used. Hopefully no worries of them shearing off.
