bigger mirrors for Tacoma

You can get a quality mirror made for towing but then you would have to buy a Silverado, LOL, a good thing!

I have 2 photos of the mirrors we bought, but I can't seem to upload them. If someone could help me, that would be great.

We have big extendable factory mirrors on our TV that give a pretty good view of the area / road behind and down both sides of the TT, but I'd like more top to bottom view. When the mirrors are set to view the road / traffic the best, I loose the top third of the TT. I guess I'm spoiled by big truck mirrors which allow you to see the top of a trailer and down to the road along the sides all the way up to just a little behind the cab. Are any of these recommended add-on mirrors just convex enough for that kinda view, or are they mostly just flat?

My 2008 F-250 has the giant folding 'Elephant Ear' mirrors. Love em.
I can extend them for towing, or fold them against the doors
for parking lots. Whats not to love.

I have seen Toyota's and Chevy 2500s with similar mirrors.

Another vote for the Grand Aero mirrors. Easy on easy off, minimal vibration. Very good for seeing what is around whatever you are towing.

We use CIP towing mirrors on our F 250 the slide over type for many thousands of miles and they work fine. http://www.cipausa.com/products/towing

I had McKesh mirrors, sold them. Had multiple problems with McKesh mirrors:

The straps vibrated and sang so loud that no one could stand it. Yes, we tightened them very tight, tried all kinds of solutions, but they were still noisy.

Started to wear the paint on the doors.

Scratched the windows when rolling them down, so once they were installed, I could not risk rolling the windows down.

Slower to install and remove than the Grand Aero mirrors, which are a very quick on-off, once adjusted.

To each his own to those who like the McKesh mirrors, but that is my experience with McKesh compared to the Grand Aero mirrors.

and found mirrors that are perfect! They look the same and have the same footprint, bolt holes, and electrical connection as the ones that came with the truck, and seem every bit as well made.
The site is great, they even had a video of how to install the mirrors on a Tacoma. We ordered them on a Saturday, and they arrived here in California (from Mass.)the next Thursday with free shipping. 239.00 for the set of 2. We towed the trailer to its winter home yesterday using them, and they work great. This a great place for help!

This is my post,these powervisionmirrors.com off a 98 chevy work great. I traded some work for a used set,new they cost around $500. I did this mod. a number of years ago. Something to look at; a company has just produced a dodge flip up towing mirror with a base and wiring that bolts right-up to a tacoma.
