Got sick once (ONCE IS ENOUGH) from campground water, so bought the Zero Water pitcher/filter system. It has a (included) water tester that reads how many TDS parts per million are in the water. Use bottled water while on the road and the Zero water system at the campgrounds. Amazon carries them in different sizes.
