Break Controller Acting up when moved to another vehicle

I have a Reese POD controller that was previously installed in my 2004 TB. There it worked fine with no issues ever. When I connected the trailer wiring the indicator on the conrtoller would glow green and depending on how the breaks were adjusted would turn orange or red when they were applied. In the fall I moved the controller to a 2007 Suburban and just towed for the first time an had a lot of trouble with it. First the green light would not come on then when I finally got it to and drove it kept flashing on and off for about 5 miles then stayed on and worked properly except when I applied the breaks fully at a stop they stuck until I tapped the pedal to release them. When coming home the controller came on first but then would shut off as I applied the breaks but same thing after a few miles it came on steady and worked except that I had to tap the pedal to release the breaks. Does anyone have any ideas? Could moving the controller have shorted it out or damaged it in some way?
  • Its the factory harness on the controller and vehicle. The only difference from the TB to the Burb was that I had to connect two leads on the fuse relay under the hood of the Burb in order to power the controller.
  • Are you using a factory made harness from controller to the correct input on the fuse panel? I suspect if you made the harness up and simply swapped from one vehicle to the other that that is your problem. GM has made several changes over the years, and unless you have the correct harness it wont work.
  • Sorry...I forgot to say it is the TT in my sig. Starcraft Aruba 27 SKS.
