Camper door window

I took the door window out to reseal it as it had slipped down an inch or so. I found a broken tab at the bottom of the outer frame that holds window in. I think I can reseal and flip frame upside down to hold glass. My question is is the rough side of the glass the inside or outside? Did not notice when I took it out.

Thanks for replies. Got the window back in but think I will order a replacement as it looks really nice.

Replaced both on ours. Top one had been replaced before we got it and really screwed up, frame installed with screws on outside and glass not cut to fit between the tabs and broken tabs. Replaced it with heavy duty plexiglass and new frame. Bottom one gave out just a month ago and frame broken also. Did the same repair with it. Really could use a completely new door but until it starts leaking the cost of one is just not in the cards. It closes tight and locks securely so it is what it is.

I had same problem with tab broken. Mine was smooth side to the outside. A replacement frame was only about $15.00 Took longer than I thought to get out all of the old silicone. And was OEM and a Lippert product I think?

I think that rough side out would be too miserable to clean. I'm voting smooth side out.

Textured side inside. Those are cheap so, I'd buy a replacement trim.

Glass is fine. Just need to know if smooth or rough side face outside.

Best thing to do, if you like to look out, is go to a glass shop with the present window and get a piece of tempered clear glass exactly the same size.

We enjoyed the view out the back after we did that.
