Hi:Last year one of my Denman 205/75R15 LRD tires showed a bulge in the tread area. I replaced it with a Carlisle Radial Trail RH LRD.I am going on a longer trip next month, and I would like to replace the remaining 3 Denman tires as they are probably about 5-6 years old.I can buy three new Carlisle Radial Trail RH tires, or I can buy 4 new Radial Trail HD tires (which replace the RH).Buying 3 RHs will save me some money. Are the HDs noticeably better than the RHs? The Carlisle site says they are more heat resistant and get 10% more tread life. Looks like the tread pattern is different and the tread is wider on the HDs.BTW, I found the best prices at oneclicktires.com. Both RH and HD tires are $46.50 each plus about $12 shipping for a total of about $59 per tire.What should I do, get three RHs or get 4 HDs and use the new RH for a spare? I don't put a lot of miles on the TT, maybe 700 miles per year max.Steve

Looking at these too. Is Maxxis THE tire to go with or.......what? My research is showing that the Carlisle tires are pretty good with good reviews now after producing junk tires years before. Goodyears are not getting good reviews and any other lesser known names I am just going to stay away from. WHats the consensus???

I would buy 4 new tires and put them on your TT. I would take the semi new tire and throw it on the spare and then go camping. :)

Did this when 2 of mine showed bulges and replaced them on the road. I took the best of the two and made a spare and bought 4 Carlisle RHs.

I recently bought 5 Carlisle RH's. Discount tire wants me to come in every year to rotate and check the tires. I am like you and don't drive long distances. I have a disability and a tire problem would be one of my worst nightmares, even though I have AAA RV. The Carlisles have been great so far.

I just finished a 2500 mile, 3 week trip after installing new RH ST205/75 R15 D Carlisles with absolutely no issues. The tires performed excellently, and I never even had to add air. Went from Phoenix to San Diego then up the coast to San Francisco, over to Reno then Las Vegas before heading back to Phoenix. The tires still look brand new with no noticeable wear. One of the best features, even though I rarely exceed 65 MPH, is that they are rated at 81 MPH. An acceptable safety margin in my opinion.
