I have a 290 lbs enduro motorcycle is like to take with me cross country this summer. I also have a Dodge Ram Cummins with an Arctic Fox TC. It’s a short bed Ram and the TC has quite an overhang past the rear hitch. The previous owner apparently did carry a motorcycle on the front of the rig. I remember him mentioning it. BUT, it has a dual receiver hitch system on the front of the truck and all the motorcycle carriers I can find are single receiver. How would you carry the bike in my situation? Trying to avoid trailers because I like yo get into tight places with this vehicle.Note: I already have a single receiver motorcycle rack for the back receiver. But it’s a double receiver in the front, so I can’t use it.

I dont know of there being any standard for the spacing of dual hitches, so a trip to a welder is likely to be needed. A custom bracket can be fabricated. They will need the truck and bike there so height for the finished product can be determined so you minimize obstruction of the headlights by the bikes wheels.

Does your single carrier not fit one or the other of the front "dual receivers"?I've had a Super Hitch dual receiver - both receivers are standard 2" - you can use single drawbars high or low ...

I suspect the OP’s “dual receivers” are located where the frame rails or tow hooks are, not in the center. I would make use of those to haul anything on the front. Something as wide as a small motorcycle, or rack will need some stabilization out at the ends anyway. I usually have a toolbox on the front of my truck that’s carried by a normal front hitch receiver, and without some turnbuckle stabilizers connected to the tow hooks I found the movement of the two bumper guides I have on it to be very distracting when driving. Since you’ll be able to see at least some of the MC from the driver seat, I’d want it to be as stable as possible. :):)

Maybe I can have a welder modify my current single receiver rack by adding 2 more on the ends of the rack. It’ll have a total of 3, but could then be used front or back.

I see! Ok. I had thought it was a standardized spacing so there were racks already available. Makes sense why I’m not finding any.

Maybe I can have a welder modify my current single receiver rack by adding 2 more on the ends of the rack. It’ll have a total of 3, but could then be used front or back.

If you do this make sure to put the 2 on the other side of rail. This will make sure there is not interference when changing ends.

Get all the receiver tubes ready and cut them if you can and mark the carrier with chalk where u want it welded and have a local welder stick it together. The less he has to think the cheaper it will be for you.
HE will likely tack it together with everything in the truck hitch so it fits for sure.
Could be $150 or so depending how complex it is.

If I was doing for me, first I would use the tube that is there, mount off center, to see how far the rail would need to be set out from receivers for bike to fit. Then I would tie bike to rail with rail setting on tubes sticking out of receivers so I could slide side to side to decide where it needed to ride as high as possible, then build the brackets to fit the rail at that height. Would have both brackets in their holes when wielding to rails. The last step would be drill the pin holes.
And there is always a little slop in the fit tube/receiver. I would make 1 of the brackets go a little deeper into the hole. This way you can watch to get one at a time started. Might even cut the bottom corner off so have a taper to help start it.
