Coleman grill modifications

Just purchased a Coachmen Apex 215RBK with an outside kitchen. It comes with a Coleman 9924 series grill that works on the disposable 1 pound propane bottles. Would LOVE to be able to fuel it from the dual 20 pound tanks of the RV. My dealer told me it would be a very expensive modification since the grill is designed to work on high pressure propane, and the RV propane system is of low pressure. Anyone know of an affordable way to solve this problem?
Any help is greatly appreciated. My old RVQ grill from my previous Surveyor trailer tied in directly to the RV tanks.

You have to remove the regulator from the grill. Then you can use quick connects and tap into the rv's propane system after it is regulated down. Its not expensive and not hard to do.

Tap into a line under the trailer... Cut in a tee. Must be a flare fitting. Run copper of the proper size to the back of the camper. add the proper adapter.

If your bbq takes the bottles then it has a regulator. All you need is the proper hose and a propane tank. BBQ stores and home centers sell them. One end will be the same thread as the little propane bottles and the other end will have the big plastic nut to screw into a propane tank like the size commonly used with home bbqs.

There are threads on converting the Coleman grills to low pressure. if you can't find it here, look on the Keystone Forum. I wrote a sticky on it and I think I appended the Coleman information to it or at least a link to it.
It can be done using quick connects so you don't have to hassle with tieing into the trailers pre-regulator gas supply.

How about buying another 20# tank just for the stove? I got an old 11# tank re-certified and use it on a Coleman 3-burner stove.

What a bunch of BS. Why don't the just say they do not know.
I run all my small Grills on a large tank. You just need a hose assembly.
They are available at Walmart I think.

You can tie into the propane lines before they enter the regulator. There are kits available to accomplish just that. Extend a stay kit.
"Extend-A-Stay kits let you safely hook up to outside propane cylinders. Allows propane gas into your system from an outside cylinder or gas out of system for high pressure appliances like grills and camp stoves. Kits include brass tee fitting and 5 feet flexible pigtail for hooking up outside propane cylinder."
If you need a longer hose, then they are available also.
