Coleman Grill

Cannot seem to control intensity of Coleman grill flame. It gets too hot such that it will burn the outside of the meat before the middle is cooked. Like the grill but it cooks too hot. Any suggestions. Pressure regulator? The control knobs on the front do not seem to affect flamd.
  • What grill? I have the road trip, yea its hot. I dont cook anything with the lid closed. It dosent burn the outside and not cook the inside though. What are you cooking and how thick? Is it a 2 burner so you can cook it indirectly? So turn off the left half, and leave the meat there , turn on the right half and close the lid?
  • If turning the control knobs don't adjust the flame - then you've found the problem. Call Coleman and see if they are replaceable.
  • It is the road trip grill. I usually cook steak and pork chops about 3/4 inch thick. Do close the lid to intensify the smoke flavoring.
  • Grill sounds like it's missing a part.

Grill grates is an awesome addition and turns a cheap grill into something usable.

Sous vide is your friend anyway :)
