Companies That Stand Behind Their Products

In 2006 I bought a Bed-Rug bed liner for my new Dodge. I like it because it's good on my knees and is attractive. Now, I really like it because UV has attacked the material and to my surprise the company is going to replace it. They even paid for shipping of the old one back to them. It has a lifetime warranty and they honor it.

I have no affiliation with Bed-Rug.

What other companies have you had good experience with that honor warranties? My experience has not been very good in this area most of the time.

"Polar" softside coolers.

These are a heavy duty soft cooler that's almost as firm as a hardside but still foldable and flexible. Works incredibly well also at keeping ice for a long time.

last Jan while in Florida I noticed ours was getting damp at bottom along a seam.
Got hold of them, sent copy of invoice from Amazon with my e-mail.
Within 12 hrs, a great lady was arranging to send a replacement to our RV park. She asked if we wanted a different colour this time, and said she was even sending some freezable packs so we could continue to use original cooler without ice.
Great service on a great product.

Costco. I bought a new laptop from Costco. In less than a month, it got a cup of coffee poured into it, which wasn't helpful. I took it back and told them what happened. They only had one question: "Do you want your money back or another computer?"
Some companies believe that going above and beyond builds loyalty.

I posted earlier about my experience with Leopold.
They spend much less on advertising than their competiters, putting those funds into their legendary warranty policy.. The payoff for them is fanatical customers, many of whom, won't even look at another companys offerings.

Why would you take your laptop back, when it was your error, spilling coffee on the laptop? How about manning up for your mistakes and holding yourself accountable?

A couple weeks back, I clipped a post with the awning on my ultra light travel trailer, due to construction going on at Smiths filling station in Mesquite NV. Should Dometic send me a new complete $335 left arm 9100 awning sunshade assembly, for my mistake? WTF?

Furthermore, Costco doesn't make laptops, or warranty them. They retail sell them, and don't issue warranties. Someone like HP or Sony or Toshiba got stiffed by you and your mistake. Costco won't be eating the cost of that failure on your part, the laptop manufacturer will, for your dishonesty. Furthermore, all of us indirectly pay for your mistake in the form of higher prices per unit, it has to be absorbed into the price asked, as a business cost passed on to consumers.

I'd be embarrassed to even associate with you with behavior like that.

He said he told them what happened and they wanted to replace it. Where is the dishonor in that?

There is a reason I shop at certain stores, particularly REI. They will do the same thing. If something fails, I take it back in, tell them the truth, and they decide what they want to do. I have actually told them, no, don't worry about it, it was my fault, and they have insisted on replacing it. As long as I am truthful about who or what caused the problem, who am I to disagree with their business decision?

Oh, so I nominate REI on this thread. Also Vortex backpacks and Jamis bicycles.

Costco is terrible.

On another note, Timbren really stands behind their product. I had a set that were just slightly too tall, and they sent me a replacement set free of charge and told me to just keep the old ones in case I need them some day. Great people to work with.

Cold Steel knives stand behind their product. Sent my Voyager lock back knife for sharpening, and Cold Steel sent me a brand new knife. This was after I had the knife for several years!

Not a truck related item but my Ultra-Fab tongue jack switch broke so I emailed them what I needed because I didn't see it listed on their website. Two days later a switch shows up free of charge. The jack was many years out of warranty. BTW I have never had an issue with any of my Fords warranty but I was always completely honest with them and don't run my truck with water in the fuel.

Who had water...or was not honest with them????

Recently had BAL send me some replacement bolts free of charge because mine rusted on by BAL stabilizers. Found out they made a running change during production to zinc plated.
Last time out camping found the pressure gauge on our Valterra water regulator went bad. Sent an email asking about replacement gauge. Customer service agent ask if gauge had been subject to freezing temps. Told her I had left it in the camper this winter. She said that could be why it failed. She then asked for my address so she could send me a new gauge. Cool!! I am a happy Camper!!!
Rancho replaced the steering stabilizer on our previous Excursion twice!!

Costco has limited some of the electronics returns to a set amount of time. But I guess if he was "not satisfied with the product" they had to replace it.

I agree that was taking advantage!
