Or you could just get a 2k genny and call it a day...
I need a 3k or two 2ks. I need to be able to run a 13,500btu A/C, TV, media streamer plus harddrive and phone chargers. Then there's all the stuff that runs off of 12v that I assume would mean the convertor would be running to recharge the battery as the lights (mostly LED), fridge (propane but still draws a little power), water heater, water pump discharge it.
geez...I don't even have all that a home.
Reminds me of a thread a few weeks ago about how much stuff Folks carried in their TC.
I was amazed at the amount of stuff some Folks bring along...
sure clarified where that "1000 pound rule came from".
We sure travel light compared to may others.
I guess that's why TC's are so great...so many ways to use them...
Anyway, as noted above the Charger/Converter will vary the amps drawn based on the charge state of the batteries and the C/C...is it 3 stage? 2 stage?
Amps in various states of charge can be determined either by looking up the unit specs and monitoring the output.
I use a cheapy 12volt thing that plugs in the socket and lets me know the current output of the C/C...
