I built the three legged one it is really easy to level it with only three legs. I mounted a cheap compass on it to locate north with then level it and you should be fairly close. I also have everything marked so when I put the dish on it it's close. Every now and then I have set it on the ground and had the bird right on. These are not wind proof but they are wind resistant. I had it blow over once, but then I thought the camper was going over that day also. If its that windy just lay a rock or something heavy on it and becomes wind proof unlike a tripod that will blow over anyway.

Our sat set up.
How does that sat. setup work? Do you just put it flat on the ground or do you attach it to the trailer?? We just got sat. to go camping with. Swore we'd never have it since the DH works for the cable company and gets a deep discount. We wanted to take the dish off the side of the house and take it with us since we will NEVER use it at home. Is this feasible?
