Can't use aluminum foil, need it for a helmet to stop the voices.

It only lets 5% of the light in??? Doesn't that make it like a cave in there? I like lots of light in ours.
Then don't tint your windows. LOL. This will really help getting our kid to bed when its still light out, getting her to take naps in the afternoon, and keep everyone in bed a bit longer in the morning. I also have 2 Maxxair vent covers due her tomorrow. They had a deal on 2 white ones on ebay so thats what I bought. One vent is in the bathroom so I will leave that one white. Second one is over the queen bed and I HATE it! Love the fresh air it allows in but the light makes me feel like I'm trying to sleep with a light on. I like the look of the white covers from the outside so my plan is to spray paint the inside of the vent cover black using spray paint for plastic. Will allow all the fresh air, look white from the outside, and block the light out over our bed. Will post pics when I get them painted and installed.
If you find that the paint doesn't hold up or not opaque enough, you could just use good ol' aluminum foil to line the inside. Guaranteed light proof!

Iowassfan,
Hmm, does "5% tint" mean that it lets only 5% of the light in, or that it only blocks 5% of the light? If it only lets in %5, then it blocks 95%.
In the picture it looks like it is blocking 95% of the light rather than 5%.
